Tesla Bot is designed as a tool to detect magnetic fields, offering synthesized Geiger counter-style clicks that correspond to the intensity of the field. This feature is powered by the built-in compass/magnetometer of your device, providing precise and scalable feedback reminiscent of authentic Geiger counter sounds from the CDV-700 model.

*** IMPORTANT NOTICE! *** Please be advised that current iPod Touch models lack a magnetometer. Therefore, Tesla Bot will not be compatible with iPod Touch devices.

The magnetometer of your device can effectively sense magnetic fields within the approximate range of 30-2000 microtesla. Tesla Bot includes various operational modes, enabling users to detect changes in magnetic vectors (delta uT), compass directions with pronounced clicking at the north point, and the option to select individual vector axes.

To address some key points:

  1. A magnetometer is designed to detect magnetic fields and does not recognize electromagnetic radiation (such as radio waves).
  2. It does not identify ionizing radiation or particles commonly referred to as "radioactivity".
  3. Primarily, the magnetometer detects magnets and ferromagnetic materials. It is pertinent to note that many steel alloys are austenitic (300-series) and are not ferromagnetic due to the phase shift at the curie point caused by excessive heat exposure (gamma-phase shift).
